The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas Legacy Society was created to recognize individuals who want to make a lasting contribution to their community through a will, trust, or other planned gift. You are invited to join in this tradition of extraordinary generosity by adding your name to the list of those who have realized the importance of charitable giving and investing in their community even beyond their own lifetimes.
Planned Giving to CFSEK
Planned gifts can be set up to go into any existing fund of the Foundation, or you can choose to establish a fund to benefit one or more charities of your choice.
Legacy giving only requires a thoughtful intention to make a difference by identifying a charitable organization or cause through a bequest in your will, trust, or estate plan. You can designate a specific amount of money, a percentage of your estate, or specific assets such as stock, real estate, or personal property.
Another way to leave a legacy gift is by designating the Community Foundation as the beneficiary or co-beneficiary of retirement plans or life-insurance policies.
We encourage donors to talk to their attorney, financial planner, CPA, or other professional advisors to determine which kind of planned gift works best for their financial situation.

Accepting our offer to join the Legacy Society allows us to honor your gift and may encourage others to do the same. We value the opportunity to thank donors now and show our appreciation for their generosity during their lifetime. We will recognize the donor as a Legacy Society Member in Foundation publications, and members will receive special recognition at events hosted by the Community Foundation, unless a donor wishes to remain anonymous.
